Transfer windows media player external hard drive

When you do this, the Player will sync your entire Player Library to your device. After that, your device will automatically sync every time you connect it to your computer while Windows Media Player is running. For automatic sync, if you want to sync only a portion of your Player Library, you can choose which media will automatically sync. For more information, see "To choose what files sync automatically" in this topic. Then, on the Sync tab, select the files and playlists you want to sync manually.

For more information, see Sync manually in Windows Media Player. Was this reply helpful? Thank you! Any more feedback? The more you tell us the more we can help. Can you help us improve? Resolved my issue. Clear instructions. Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped. As soon as you will do this, your playlist will be displayed in the location where it is stored in your File Explorer as shown in the following image: Now right click on your playlist in order to launch a cascading menu as shown in the image below: Select the Copy option from the cascading menu as highlighted in the image shown above.

After that, go to your external drive by double-clicking on its icon and then paste your recently copied playlist to your external drive. Now remove your external drive from your PC and then attach it with the PC to which you wanted to transfer this playlist. Once you successfully manage to connect the external drive to the other PC, just double-click on its icon and locate your playlist. Right-click on the playlist and choose the Copy option from the cascading menu.

Finally, you can paste this playlist anywhere in the other PC. I tried going to the computer music files instead of trying to copy from the WMP library and that worked. HDD and they got copied to it. I played them back with no problem. I even took the ext. HDD and plugged it into my laptop and they played on it too. Now I have a lot of copying to do. On another note you really don't need to install the software that came with the hard drive.

I tried not using the software that came with the ext-HDD and just went to the computer music files instead of the WM library.. I selected some more CDs to transfer and right clicked on them and a window came up and I selected "Send to" and sent them to ""My Passport", and that worked too.

I don't need to use the software that came with the ext. Thanks again for the help, all. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment.
