Click on any image below to enlarge and enjoy. Our Puerto Vallarta golf tour included the picturesque Vista Vallarta Golf Club located twenty minutes east toward the coastal mountains. Vista Vallarta features two different golf courses, Nicklaus and Weiskopf. Colorful flower beds, hedges and two circular stairways surround a classical fountain and frame a grand entrance to the Spanish style clubhouse.
A barrage of forced carries and sharp chasms are major characteristics at both courses. The front side of the Vista Vallarta Weiskopf course is tighter than the back side. Thick penalizing jungle lurks near the fairway. We admire stunning bougainvillea while we observe disinterested iguanas crawling across the green. The yard par 4 second hole grabs attention early.
Recently, it was considered one of the top 10 golf courses in Mexico by a panel of golf experts, and published in the "Best Golf Guide to the Mexican Riviera".
This course is challenging for the more experienced players, but it is also friendly to women since many obstacles are safe due to the red mark positions. The first three holes will make you believe that it is a relatively easy course, but from the 4th hole par 5, the challenge begins. If you want a beautiful view while you enjoy golf, you cannot miss the 4th and 12th holes due to the large amount of vegetation that Vista Vallarta offers.
