By Beau Bridges , June 22, in Windows. Hey guys, I love making screen-cast videos for YouTube - but I haven't made one in about a month. Because I have been using Windows 7 and was unable to disable hardware acceleration in order to reduce the amount of lag in my videos.
I switched to my system's default operating system, Windows Vista Home Basic Bit, in order to try to be able to disable the hardware acceleration of my computer. I then later realized that it is the same on Vista as it was on Windows Seven.
I use Intel graphics and I was wondering if there was any way to disable the hardware acceleration in the Intel Control Panel or if I could do so with some third-party software. Are you sure it's the hardware acceleration that's causing it? Matt H -. In reply to 1jamesw's post on May 24, It may be that you don't have a choice about that.
It just depends on what Intel allows. I'm thinking your driver just needs to be reinstalled. If you go to Toshiba's site and look up your specific model, there should only be one newest driver for Vista available. Please check if the issue persists. If the issue does not reoccur, it may be caused by an IE Add-on. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options. Click the "Programs" tab, and then click Manage Add-ons. Select an add-on in the Name list, and then click Disable. Please restart IE with Add-ons and check the issue again. If the issue is resolved, the disabled Add-on was the cause of the issue.

If your current display driver allows you to change the settings, you will be able to see the Change settings button. Click on it. Now, the Display Adapter Troubleshooter will appear on your computer screen. Move the pointer to the extreme left to disable or reduce the hardware acceleration and click on OK.
